Μπορεί οι επίσημες υποψηφιότητες των Oscar να ανακοινωθούν σε ένα μήνα, ωστόσο, η διοργάνωση ανακοίνωσε τις την λίστα με τις ταινίες που περνάνε στην επόμενη φάση της ψηφοφορίας σε δέκα κατηγορίες.
Όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο η "Barbie" ηγείται, έχοντας το προβάδισμα σε 10 κατηγορίες, με το «Οι Δολοφόνοι του Ανθισμένου Φεγγαριού» και το "Society of the Snow", να ακολουθούν με 4. Σε 3 κατηγορίες βλέπουμε το πασίγνωστο "Oppenheimer", το "Poor Things" και "Το Πορφυρό Χρώμα".
Τα "20 Days in Mariupol" και "Four Daughters" ήταν τα ντοκιμαντέρ που κατάφεραν να περάσουν στις κατηγορίες Καλύτερου Ντοκιμαντέρ και Διεθνούς Ταινίας. Φυσικά, τα "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" και "Strange Way of Life", ήταν οι ταινίες που κατάφεραν να περάσουν στη λίστα για την Καλύτερη Μικρού Μήκους Ταινία, διεκδικώντας το πολυπόθητο βραβείο.
